Naomi's Family Mini

Focal Photographer: Naomi
Naomi is a fine art photographer specializing in families. She has traveled extensively (and lived in Spain for the last 7 years) and often worked with children who didn’t speak a word of English. Through her experience, she has learned to communicate in various ways and with body language and can quickly put anyone at ease in front of the camera.
Naomi’s style is simple and uncluttered. She doesn’t use the latest presets or filters as she feels they are just trendy but not timeless. Her goal is to capture moments in a way that they never look outdated.
Naomi is a mom of two and has seen her own babies grow up too fast…She wants to help you capture these precious moments for now and always.
FAQ's

What’s the difference between “Delivered” photos and “Edited” photos?
You’ll get to keep digital copies of all the shots I take (less a small percentage of the “no-goods”, blurs, blinks etc.) Those are your “delivered” photos, which you can have in jpg quality 1800pixels on the long side. They can be used for sharing online, emailing and viewing on your phone or computer and general safe-keeping of memories! From this gallery of all the delivered images, you’ll pick your favourites for me to edit. These 10 images will be retouched with care, ensuring that when printed they come out perfectly for color accuracy and other small details. These images will be given to you in larger JPG files, so they can be printed as you wish, as well as emailed or shared online. Extra images can be purchased (for editing) for $35 each.
-
How many photos will I get?
You’ll get about 30 to 40 images in your online gallery and 10 best (of your choice) to be edited and delivered in printable quality. Prints and wall art can be ordered for an additional fee, or you can choose to take the digital files and have them printed yourself.

What if my child doesn’t cooperate?
I have kids myself and I know we all have “those days” where nothing seems to go according to plan. That said, we can take our time and see if the little ones open up after getting comfortable and I usually am far enough away with my camera that I’m not intrusive on the overall atmosphere of the session. If we’ve tried all options and your little one still isn’t having it, we can book a new session and try again another day.
-
Can we postpone for bad weather?
In the case of strong wind or a downpour, of course! Mild rain can be beautiful in photos and if we plan ahead can even use it to our advantage.
-
Why can I only book mornings or evenings?
Midday is not ideal for photos because the sun is directly overhead and it’s hard to avoid unwanted shadows. For your photos to look similar in style to the ones you see in my portfolio it’s necessary that we shoot when the sun is low.
