I'll usually start discussing wedding photography plans with couples six months in advance -- but can also make plans weeks out from the date, if need be. We'll connect by phone/text/email to get to know each other, and you can tell me about the big day (what venue you've chosen, plans for how everything will unfold, etc.). If you're in the Vancouver area, I'll pre-scout the venue when possible so that everything goes off without a hitch on your wedding day. If you're planning a destination wedding or booking from afar, I'll research the venue by gathering photos so I'm all ready for the big day.
During the ceremony, I'll be shooting candid photos: the walk up the aisle, the vows, the "I do's," the kiss. I'll set aside plenty of time for the formal photos, where we can get creative and capture you and your loved one at your absolute best.
I'll deliver your photos via Dropbox within seven days. Not super tech-savvy? I can also arrange to deliver a flash drive to your door. And then they're yours!
This is your special day so let's make some memories!
This Half Day Wedding Package is for those who want to capture the big moments of the day, but not necessarily the in-between, minor moments as much. You want around 300 beautifully edited images of the getting ready process, the ceremony, the reception, and an abundance of group photos of you, your family, and friends.
Once you book me, we will schedule a call to go over the details fo your special day. This is the perfect time to ask any questions regarding the day that you have, and make any photos requests. Remember, this is your special day! Don't feel shy to make any specific requests!
On the day of the shoot, I will arrive when it is time for you to get ready and start snapping photos there! I will get a variety of posed and in-action shots so that you still have lots of time to spend with your friends and family. When the wedding begins, it will be the same. You will go about the day and probably barely notice me, only when I pull you and a few friends and family members to capture those special memories. I snap around 80 photos per hour so don't worry about not having enough photos!
When the day is over, I will get started on editing and 60 days later, you will receive an online digital album of around 300 photos that you can use for your own personal use, whether you want to post about the day on Facebook or just save the images for yourself.
As a wedding photographer, my main goal is to make sure that you are comfortable and happy as a couple in front of the camera. I will give you a lot of directions and guidance, so we can get some amazing images captured for you and your partner to cherish forever!

About six months before the wedding date, depending on how far in advance you've booked me, we'll regroup and chat about your wedding plans, and get to know each other some more. I find this helps tremendously so that, by the time the day's arrived, you can feel totally relaxed and at ease: you're among friends! A month before the wedding, I'll also request a timeline -- this helps me prepare and allows for everything to run smoothly on the big day. We'll keep in touch about any scheduling plans or changes.
On the day of the wedding, I will arrive after everyone is ready and start shooting the BIG moments for you. I will focus on you and your partner first, and then the rest of your family and friends in between. I'll also be scouting locations for formal photos and keeping track of where the lighting is at its best. The photos taken on your special day will be a mix of candid and posed shots to ensure we capture both smiling faces and in-between moments.
During the ceremony, I'll be there to capture the precious moments and ensure everyone has exactly the right amount of tissues!
