If you think 1 hour is too long for your kiddos, then this might be perfect for you! In 30 minutes we can usually get a couple of good ones for your family photo plus some fun candid shots! I'll help you all pose for the traditional portrait, and once that's over with, you can just enjoy the time with your family as I shoot from a distance.

On the day of the shoot, I'll keep it safe for everyone and maintain a safe distance using zoom lenses! I'll suggest things to do, rather than tell you exactly how to sit. If your kids are shy, I'll give them plenty of extra space. Once everyone is warmed up, we can go for the one "must have" posed family photo - usually I can get this done in a matter of a few minutes, since we'll already be in the perfect location, facing the light, camera settings prepared.. etc. You'll be surprised how quickly and painlessly the "traditional" shot can be done and we can go back to fun candid shots.

With this package, you'll get a relaxed session, outside at the location of your choice. My style is very different than traditional posed portraits. We take our time and let your kids play and interact with you while I capture candid photos. I never ask you to maintain a specific pose for more than a few seconds - though we will aim to get one "must-have" posed photo for the grandparents! I'll help you sit together in a comfortable manner and then you can just be yourselves and leave the rest up to me.
If you love fine art and want to capture the love in your family, this might be the perfect session for you. I love creating art worthy of hanging above the fireplace! With you or your family as the subject matter, almost anything you can dream up can be created.

My family mini is perfect for immediate families (parents and kids) because it's short enough that the kids stay engaged and don't get too tired. I have kids of my own so I'm very good and cracking jokes and making the experience fun.

I love shooting sessions in the golden hour, that sweet spot before sunset when the light is soft and glowing, even on a cloudy evening. Whether you choose ocean and beach, field, forest or mountain I have locations to suggest that the sunset works beautifully for. I’m happy to discuss wardrobe via an email or phone consult to help bring your vision to life, or to best compliment your session.
When we meet for the session, we will take a short walk to the beginning location, and this is when I love to start getting to know you! Making a connection with children right from the start helps them to warm up for when the camera comes out. I know it can be intimidating having your photo taken, so we will make the session fun and more about interacting with one another to create ideal situations for candid photos. My clients walk away loving the experience and so happy without even seeing any images! It won't be awkward, I promise!
After our session, you will receive your gallery in 2-3 weeks. This timeline allows me to edit to my style and ensure that each image is ready to be shared, printed and loved after you make your selection of the 10 included images, or want to purchase additional files, or the whole gallery!
